With us, you will be immediately integrated into the crew and will be able to lend a hand under the guidance of the experienced regular crew, regardless of your age or previous knowledge. Experience camaraderie in a whole new way, because only through good cooperation can the Alex-2 sail safely. This fascinating way of sailing is an experience you will not forget.

This 10-day voyage from Hartlepool in Great Britain to Fredrikstad in Norway is the second leg of the Tall Ships Races 2023. In the port of Hartlepool, from 6 July, various events will take place on stages and in marquees, as well as sporting and cultural activities. On 09.07. the second race of the Tall Ships Races 2023 will start. Together with many large and small sailing boats, such as the Dar Mlodziezy and the Statsraad Lehmkuh, we will sail to Fredrikstad. Once there, there will be a lot to experience on 16.07. The highlight is the parade of crews and the awarding of prizes to the winners of the races.

Catering: Our kitchen crew will provide you with delicious meals from breakfast to dinner during the cruise.

Alexander von Humboldt II

The ALEXANDER von HUMBOLDT II is a three-masted barge operated as a civilian sailing training ship under the German flag. Her home port is Bremerhaven. The ALEX-2, as she is affectionately called by her regular crew, is mainly used for the training of suitable and interested persons – especially young people – on large traditional sailing yachts. This is in keeping with the charitable purpose of the German Sailing Training Foundation (DSST), which manages the boat. Behind the green-hulled boat there are many people of different ages who have voluntarily committed themselves to sailing on this sailboat and would like to encourage others to do the same.

Sailing on the sailing boats of the Nao Victoria Foundation is a magnificent human, technical and natural experience. You will take part in the sailing watches and experience the camaraderie of people of different ages, cultures and backgrounds, all as fond of the sea and boats as you are. You will learn navigation techniques, manoeuvring, knots and rigging, as well as getting to recognise the main stars and constellations. And all this in a natural environment as different, indomitable and incredibly beautiful as the sea.

A mini adventure full of humanity. My dream since I was a child, to see the sails swell in the wind, with the bow cutting waves up and down. Swallowing the sky, swallowing the sea. I am one of those who never stop, I do not miss even the smallest detail and Nao Victoria and you have filled me. All my nights different, always ecstatic. Captain, crew a 10, volunteers, I have no scale to name your dedication, your courtesy, your bizarreness. Historically well prepared, I now admire even more those heroes who preceded us.

The person who decides to make a voyage aboard the nao Victoria will find: a wooden ship that tries to recreate the feeling of being in one of those primitive ships that achieved such great feats, with a crew of people enthusiastic about sailing, the history of Spain very close, attentive and friendly, which will allow us to participate in all maneuvers and activities.
