Houfleur – Ostende

Get on board the pailebote Pascual Flores and feel the experience of travelling on the restoration of the boat built in 1917. Become part of the crew, using the same sailing techniques, with training on navigation, charts, use of sails, knots, etc. And, above all, feel the sensation of sailing a wooden boat, steered by a pintle.

Departing from the port of Honfleur and arriving at the port of Ostend, this crossing lasts 1 day, corresponding to 175 nautical miles (281 km). You will make an unforgettable voyage across the English Channel to Ostend, a city located in Belgium. You can visit the beautiful cathedral dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul in the historical centre as well as the port of Ostend which is considered the second most important port in Belgium. Moreover, the port of Ostend is located right in front of the city centre, close to the most touristic area. Many more sights that will surprise you in this charming city. Sailing on the sailing boats of the Nao Victoria Foundation is a magnificent human, technical and natural experience. You will take part in the sailing watches and experience the camaraderie of people of different ages, cultures and backgrounds, all as fond of the sea and boats as you are. You will learn navigation techniques, manoeuvring, knots and rigging, as well as getting to recognise the main stars and constellations. And all this in a natural environment as different, indomitable and incredibly beautiful as the sea.

A mini adventure full of humanity. My dream since I was a child, to see the sails swell in the wind, with the bow cutting waves up and down. Swallowing the sky, swallowing the sea. I am one of those who never stop, I do not miss even the smallest detail and Nao Victoria and you have filled me. All my nights different, always ecstatic. Captain, crew a 10, volunteers, I have no scale to name your dedication, your courtesy, your bizarreness. Historically well prepared, I now admire even more those heroes who preceded us.
