Destination Nápoles – Port Stefano – Livorno
Dates 20 May (Embark 16h00) – 26 May (Disembark 10h00)
Our voyage begins in Naples, the birthplace of pizza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with historic landmarks, vibrant culture, and exquisite gastronomy. From this bustling city, we sail north to Porto Santo Stefano, a charming 15th-century town, and onward to Livorno, a gateway to Tuscany’s treasures.
While aboard, immerse yourself in the rhythm of life at sea. Volunteer with the crew to hoist and set the sails, helm the 68m tall ship, or simply unwind as the Santa Maria Manuela glides through the crystal-clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Knot-tying lessons and opportunities to climb the mast (weather permitting) add excitement to the journey. Finish your day with a sunset drink on deck, savoring the beauty of the Italian coastline.
Porto Santo Stefano, known for its fishing traditions and world-class seafood, offers a delightful stop to stretch your legs and explore the town’s charming streets. From there, we sail north to Livorno, where you can take advantage of its proximity to the cultural riches of Pisa, Lucca, and Florence. Pisa’s iconic Leaning Tower, Lucca’s stunning medieval walls, and Florence’s artistic masterpieces are within easy reach for a post-voyage adventure.

Santa María Manuela
The Santa Maria Manuela was launched on 10 May 1937 in Lisbon. It is a 67-metre sailing ship. The ship was named after the owner’s wife, Maria Manuela, mother of 16 children. The main function of the Santa Maria Manuela was cod fishing. The Santa Maria Manuela underwent a number of structural changes over the years, from the removal of the masts to the installation of a navigation bridge. In 1993 the ship was considered obsolete, was dismantled and only the steel hull remained. The following year the Santa María Manuela Foundation was created, a project that united 17 institutions under the same purpose: to recover the ship. The SMM now has unique conditions for sea voyages, events, parties and training at sea. Predominant colour WHITE.
