Get on board the NAO VICTORIA and feel the experience of travelling on a replica of the ship that sailed around the world for the first time 500 years ago. Relive how those sailors used to sail, the great feats they did on that ship and experience first-hand the greatest maritime feat. Be part of the crew, using the same sailing techniques, with training in navigation, charts, use of sails, knots, etc. And above all, feel the sensation of navigating a wooden boat, steered by a pintle.

Departing from the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer and arriving in the port of St. Malo, this crossing lasts approximately 2 days, corresponding to 227 nautical miles. It will allow you to make a very special voyage through French waters, setting course for St. Malo. We will leave from the maritime festival of Boulogne-sur-Mer called Fête la Mer where on Sunday 16/07 you will be able to enjoy all the activities on the site as well as meet the participating boats and which will take place from 13 to 16 July. When you disembark you will be able to enjoy the breathtaking view of St. Malo. Visit the St. Malo cathedral of St. Vincent as well as the Grand Bé and les remparts de Saint Malo. Nao Victoria

The Nao Victoria is the replica of the first ship that sailed around the world with Magellan and Elcano, achieving the greatest naval feat of all time. It was built in 1991 and in 2004 it sailed around the world again to commemorate that trip. It has 3 masts and bowsprit, 6 sails with 290m2 of sail area. With capacity for 22 people, it usually has 12 people on board with bunk beds. Wooden boat more familiar and spartan, with the smallest spaces, with incredible stories and adventures.

Sailing on the sailing boats of the Nao Victoria Foundation is a magnificent human, technical and natural experience. You will take part in the sailing watches and experience the camaraderie of people of different ages, cultures and backgrounds, all as fond of the sea and boats as you are. You will learn navigation techniques, manoeuvring, knots and rigging, as well as getting to recognise the main stars and constellations. And all this in a natural environment as different, indomitable and incredibly beautiful as the sea.
