Get on board the NAO VICTORIA and feel the experience of traveling on a replica of the first round-the-world trip 500 years ago. Relive how those sailors used to sail, the great feats they did on that ship and experience first hand the greatest maritime feat. Be part of the crew, using the same sailing techniques, with training on navigation, charts, sail use, knots, etc. And above all, feel the sensation of sailing a wooden boat, steered by a pintle.

Departing from the port of Sanlúcar de Barrameda and arriving at the port of Punta Umbria, this crossing has a duration of 8 hours corresponding to 40 nautical miles (70 km). It will allow you to make an incredible voyage through the cost of Huelva leaving from the old seaport of Punta Umbria. Did you know that Punta Umbria is the most famous village of Huelva for theis for their “pescaito” frito? Stroll through its old downtown streets or watch the spectacular sunsets from any point. Nao Victoria

The Nao Victoria is the replica of the first ship that sailed around the world with Magellan and Elcano, achieving the greatest naval feat of all time. It was built in 1991 and in 2004 it sailed around the world again to commemorate that trip. It has 3 masts and bowsprit, 6 sails with 290m2 of sail area. With capacity for 22 people, it usually has 12 people on board with bunk beds. Wooden boat more familiar and spartan, with the smallest spaces, with incredible stories and adventures.

Sailing on the sailing boats of the Nao Victoria Foundation is a magnificent human, technical and natural experience. You will take part in the sailing watches and experience the camaraderie of people of different ages, cultures and backgrounds, all as fond of the sea and boats as you are. You will learn navigation techniques, manoeuvring, knots and rigging, as well as getting to recognise the main stars and constellations. And all this in a natural environment as different, indomitable and incredibly beautiful as the sea.

A mini adventure full of humanity. My dream since I was a child, to see the sails swell in the wind, with the bow cutting waves up and down. Swallowing the sky, swallowing the sea. I am one of those who never stop, I do not miss even the smallest detail and Nao Victoria and you have filled me. All my nights different, always ecstatic. Captain, crew a 10, volunteers, I have no scale to name your dedication, your courtesy, your bizarreness. Historically well prepared, I now admire even more those heroes who preceded us.
