Get on board the NAO VICTORIA and feel the experience of traveling on a replica of 500 years ago with which the first round-the-world trip was made. Departing from the port of Sète and arriving at Grau de Castelló, this crossing lasts 1 day, corresponding to 290 nautical miles (540 km). You will make an unforgettable voyage along the Costa Brava after leaving the festival of Sète that resumes after being suspended in 2020. Crystal clear waters and the beginning of spring to reach the next scheduled festival: Escala a Castelló (this year with the participation of up to 8 different boats). Opening parties and a unique atmosphere. An unforgettable experience aboard the Nao Victoria for those who are not used to big sailing.

Nao Victoria

The Nao Victoria is the replica of the first ship that sailed around the world with Magellan and Elcano, achieving the greatest naval feat of all time. It was built in 1991 and in 2004 it sailed around the world again to commemorate that trip. It has 3 masts and bowsprit, 6 sails with 290m2 of sail area. With capacity for 22 people, it usually has 12 people on board with bunk beds. Wooden boat more familiar and spartan, with the smallest spaces, with incredible stories and adventures.

Sailing on the sailing boats of the Nao Victoria Foundation is a magnificent human, technical and natural experience. You will take part in the sailing watches and experience the camaraderie of people of different ages, cultures and backgrounds, all as fond of the sea and boats as you are. You will learn navigation techniques, manoeuvring, knots and rigging, as well as getting to recognise the main stars and constellations. And all this in a natural environment as different, indomitable and incredibly beautiful as the sea.

A mini adventure full of humanity. My dream since I was a child, to see the sails swell in the wind, with the bow cutting waves up and down. Swallowing the sky, swallowing the sea. I am one of those who never stop, I do not miss even the smallest detail and Nao Victoria and you have filled me. All my nights different, always ecstatic. Captain, crew a 10, volunteers, I have no scale to name your dedication, your courtesy, your bizarreness. Historically well prepared, I now admire even more those heroes who preceded us.
