Embark on the Galleon and live the experience of sailing on a replica of almost 50 metres in length. A real merchant ship of the time, with larger and more comfortable spaces. On this voyage you will be part of the crew, using the same sailing techniques, with training in navigation, charts, use of sails, knots, and navigation watches, etc.

Departing from the port of Rotterdam and arriving at the port of Cherbourg, this crossing lasts 2 days, corresponding to 300 nautical miles. You will enjoy an incredible voyage through the famous English Channel, passing the famous islands of Jersey and Guernsey, until you reach the city of Cherbourg. Here you will be able to visit the famous aquarium of “la cite de la Mare”, the beautiful park of Emmanuel Liais, the basilica of the Holy Trinity which will impress you with its gothic art and many other sights. A unique experience on board the Galleon.

El Galeón

The Galeón Andalucía is a replica of the 16th century galleons that linked America, Europe and Asia. Launched in 2010, it has sailed from Spain to China, tours of the USA, Great Lakes, Canada, the Caribbean, Northern Europe, etc. It has 3 masts and bowsprit and 7 sails, 4 of them square and one lateen with a total sail area of 320m2. It can accommodate up to 42 people, usually 20 to 25 people with bunk beds.

Sailing on the sailing boats of the Nao Victoria Foundation is a magnificent human, technical and natural experience. You will take part in the sailing watches and experience the camaraderie of people of different ages, cultures and backgrounds, all as fond of the sea and boats as you are. You will learn navigation techniques, manoeuvring, knots and rigging, as well as getting to recognise the main stars and constellations. And all this in a natural environment as different, indomitable and incredibly beautiful as the sea.

A mini adventure full of humanity. My dream since I was a child, to see the sails swell in the wind, with the bow cutting waves up and down. Swallowing the sky, swallowing the sea. I am one of those who never stop, I do not miss even the smallest detail and Nao Victoria and you have filled me. All my nights different, always ecstatic. Captain, crew a 10, volunteers, I have no scale to name your dedication, your courtesy, your bizarreness. Historically well prepared, I now admire even more those heroes who preceded us.
