📅 Disembarkation: Friday 20/03 until 10:00
⚠ ATTENTION! Dates on board the Galeón Andalucía may change up to 24 hours before departure. Sail on a 17th-Century Galleon
Step aboard the Galeón Andalucía, a faithful replica of the legendary Spanish galleons that crossed the oceans during the Golden Age. Experience the adventure of traditional sailing, learn about maneuvers and celestial navigation, and feel the immensity of the sea as you become part of the crew.
This special voyage will take you from the heart of Barcelona to the culturally rich city of La Spezia, including a stop in an emblematic port where the Galeón Andalucía has undergone a complete refurbishment of all its decks. This will be the first festival of the season and the first time the city of La Spezia hosts this event. This year it has joined the “Via Mediterranea” alongside Sète and Castellón to bring maritime tradition closer to the public.

Discover La Spezia
La Spezia perfectly combines urban life with nature and has a strong sense of community. We recommend exploring both the city and its surroundings for a complete experience — from its rich history to its impressive natural landscapes.
Walk along the Seafront Promenade and Thaon di Revel Bridge
This is the heart of the city. The Morin Promenade is lined with palm trees and offers views of military ships and luxury yachts. From there, cross the modern white Thaon di Revel Bridge connecting the city to Porto Mirabello marina. It is the perfect spot to watch the sunset with the Gulf of Poets in the background.
Visit the Naval Technical Museum
As La Spezia is Italy’s most important naval base, this museum is a true gem. It is far from a typical museum — you will see historic figureheads, remains of old ships, and communication technology (Marconi conducted experiments here). It is fascinating to understand how the city developed around its naval arsenal.
Climb to San Giorgio Castle
For the best panoramic view of the city, head up to this 14th-century Genoese fortress, now home to the Civic Archaeological Museum. Beyond its history, the highlight is the breathtaking view over the gulf and surrounding mountains. You can climb the characteristic stairways or use the public elevator.
Taste Local Specialties
-
Mesciùa: A traditional soup made of legumes and grains, originally created from grains that fell in the port.
-
Farinata: A thin, crispy chickpea flour flatbread — the ultimate street food snack.
Gastronomic Route through the Historic Center
La Spezia is best experienced through its main street, Via Prione, a pedestrian area full of shops and traditional taverns. There are two must-try specialties here — a true culinary experience to conclude your visit.
