On your journey, you will experience historic locks, picturesque villages, and a varied landscape.

This journey allows you to enjoy the beauty of the sea and nature to the full. It is an opportunity to surrender to the rhythm of the waves, feel the wind in the sails, and immerse yourself in the world of traditional sailing. Note: Wind and weather can have a significant impact on the trip. If necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, changes may be made to the route.

Packing List:

  • Do not travel with a hard suitcase; it’s better to use a good travel bag.
  • A passport if required for the planned trip; otherwise, an identity card is sufficient (inform yourself in advance).
  • A coffee-to-go mug (not mandatory) or a water bottle for refilling.
  • While oilskins are not necessary, a good rainproof jacket, rain trousers, and sturdy shoes are always recommended, be it for hiking, cycling, or helping on deck.
  • Don’t forget sunglasses, a sun hat or cap, and sun cream; even when the sun is not visible, you can get quite burnt.
  • A good book for some solitude or a good parlour game to play with your fellow sailors.
  • A camera to capture your memories and share them with those at home.
  • Cash because you can only pay your drinks bill in cash here. Also, consider the currency of the country you are traveling to so you can buy a souvenir.
  • A board game to play with fellow travelers.
  • A good mood! You certainly shouldn’t forget it!

Tips: Good to know: Would you like to travel alone and not share a cabin? Then you can book a single traveler supplement, which corresponds to the normal travel price + 50%.

TIP: This is a crossing, which means that we have to bring the boat back to another starting point. If the wind is not in our favor, we will use the engine. If you prefer a sailing trip where you are guided more by the wind, you can find a more suitable trip in our travel program.

Vessel

Artemis

The triple-masted Artemis is a fine example of maritime tradition. It was built in Norway in 1926 as a whaler. She later worked as a cargo ship transporting goods between Asia and South America. Since 2001, the Artemis has been sailing in European waters again, honouring the great maritime tradition of the Netherlands.

The masts are square-rigged, typical of a barque. The spectacle of the three masts on the high seas is unsurpassed. On the way to historic ports or to one of the many sailing events.

The Artemis radiates safety and originality while boasting an exceptional level of comfort and luxury on board. It is this combination that makes the ship so unique and desirable for sea voyages and international events. Artemis has a well-equipped hotel galley and a spacious saloon with bar, which exudes a warm maritime atmosphere. Its sailing trips in the Baltic Sea and the southern Danish archipelago are in great demand.

The Artemis can accommodate up to 120 guests on board for day trips and has berths for 32. Our guests can enjoy excellent food and drink served by an experienced and enthusiastic staff. Together with being on an authentic triple masted boat with an experienced deck crew and all the modern sailing equipment necessary to ensure a safe voyage, makes for a wonderful sailing experience!

Welcome to the rich history of traditional sailing, welcome to the Artemis.
